YORK YVAAFILE NOT FOUND

On the display

During a software download the YVAA panel shows FILE NOT FOUND with the prompt PRESS THE ENTER KEY TO CONTINUE. The message stays on the display until the Enter key is pressed; the panel does not remove it by itself. The fault table for software update errors lists the message as FILE NOT FOUND, and the download procedure shows it at the step where the *.bin software file is taken from the selected device.

What it means

The fault table gives the meaning directly: the *.bin file is not on the selected device. The panel was performing a software download and did not find a *.bin file on the device selected for it, so the software file the update needs is not present on that device. The panel waits at this message and does not continue until the Enter key is pressed.

Why it appears

  • The device selected for the software download contains no *.bin file — the download procedure names this as the condition under which the panel shows the message.

What to check

  1. Confirm that the device selected for the software download actually carries the *.bin file — the panel shows FILE NOT FOUND when there is no *.bin file on that device.

Reset and restart

The message is acknowledged rather than reset: the panel holds it on screen until the user presses the enter key. Pressing the Enter key returns the panel to the previous display, the software download display, from which the download is set up again. There is no separate reset command for this message.

Questions engineers ask

What does FILE NOT FOUND mean on a YORK YVAA?

It means the *.bin file was not found on the device selected for the software download. The panel shows the message until the Enter key is pressed.

How do I clear the FILE NOT FOUND message on a YORK YVAA?

Press the Enter key. The panel then returns to the previous display, the software download display.

Why does my YVAA show FILE NOT FOUND during a software update?

Because there is no *.bin file on the selected device. The *.bin file has to be on the device chosen for the download before the panel can find it.
