Appendix to EC Declaration of Conformity (664.20039.03) and
supplementary sheet for the 1FK7 operating instructions (610.40700.01)
When taking into account these special conditions, 1FK7 motors Shaft heights 36 to 100, naturally cooled,
belonging to device group II, category 3D, protection through the enclosure tc, degree of protection IP64,
maximum surface temperature 160°C, according to EN 60079-0 general requirements; EN 60079-31 protection
by enclosure.

Marking: II 3 D Ex tc IIIB T160°C Dc IP64 -15°C ≤ Ta ≤ +40°C

Equipment in this category 3D is intended for use in areas (Zone 22, non-conductive dust), in which – under
normal operating conditions – explosive atmospheres caused by air/dust mixtures are unlikely to occur, or if
they do occur, are likely to do so only infrequently and for a short period only. According to EN 60079-14, the
ignition temperature of a cloud of dust must be 50% greater than the maximum surface temperature of the
device used, in this case >240°C. The smoldering temperature of a layer of dust must be 75 Kelvin greater
than the maximum surface temperature, in this case > 235°C.

The Three – phase motors are supplied by inverters SINAMICS S120 or G120 (Type PM 240). If the motors are
operated with other inverters, the following edge conditions have to be complied:

        ● Encoder with pulse width modulation
        ● minimum switching frequency 4 kHz

It is only permissible to operate the motors up to the subsequently specified speed.

1. General
These notes apply as supplement to the operating instructions of the particular motor type.
The increased danger in areas with explosive gas atmosphere demands especially careful observation and compliance with
the general safety and commissioning instructions.
The requirements when installing electrical equipment in explosive gas atmospheres according to EN 60079-14 must be
observed, especially also when selecting the connecting cables.

2. Safety instructions
The safety instructions must be carefully complied with, otherwise the CE conformity no
   longer applies.
DANGER! The cooling surfaces and other surfaces must be kept free from dust deposits or other contamination so that the
    motor cooling is not diminished.
The duty type and the rating data of the motors must correspond to the values stamped on the rating plate.
s
610.40090.02e
The special cases involving Emergency Stop and power failure are considered as "not a normal operating case".
The converter setting data must match the data stamped on the rating plate.
The maximum speed must be reduced corresponding to the table above.
The rated data are applicable in conjunction with the assigned Siemens SIMODRIVE, MASTERDRIVES and SINAMICS
   converters.
The motor must be protected against excessively high loads. The integrated KTY84-130 temperature sensor must be
correctly connected and evaluated at the temperature monitoring of the converter.
It is not permissible that the KTY84-130 connections are interchanged. The tripping temperature should be set to 145°C.
Due to the coupling time of the temperature sensors, an additional I2t monitoring must be implemented!
The optional integrated holding brakes must not be used as operating brake. After an emergency stop, a new commissioning
must only be performed after at least 3 minutes to ensure that the brake has cooled down.
The bearings must be replaced after 25,000 h (guide value).
The thermal stability of the connecting cables must be at least 80°C. Plastic insulated flexible cables must have the same
durability as heavy duty rubber insulated cables. The plug connectors must ensure a minimum degree of protection of IP 64.
The plug connectors must not be withdrawn under voltage.
Protective covers are supplied to prevent size 1 and 1,5 power and signal plug connectors from being inadvertently released. A
clamping device is supplied to prevent RJ 45 signal connectors from being inadvertently released.
Refer to the installation instructions in the attachment. Operation without release protection or clamping device is not
   permissible.
The screwed joint must be secured against accidental release using e.g. Loctite 243.
The grounding of the cover to prevent inadvertent release must be guaranteed using an adequate metal contact to the
connector or to the mating connector on the customer side.
Notice! When using a grounding bar and/or cover to prevent inadvertent connector release, the angle through which
size 1 and 1,5 connectors can be rotated is restricted.
In operation, the motor surface is hot. This must be taken into consideration when routing the connecting cables.
Operation in a potentially explosive atmosphere is only permissible when the protective and equipotential bonding conductors
are connected at the connection points provided.

3. Scope of validity
Electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas may only be used according to the regulations laid down by the responsible
authorities! The authorities define the explosion hazard (zone classification).
Users must check and take into account special country-specific requirements.

4. Maintenance
DANGER! The parts in the motor can be hotter than the maximum surface temperature of the motor frame.
This is the reason that the motor must not be opened in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
Siemens Service Center Bad Neustadt must handle or organize the maintenance / repair of the motors.
Unauthorized modification or conversion will lead to the loss of CE conformity.

5. Grounding
The grounding of the cover to prevent inadvertent release must be guaranteed using an adequate metal contact to the
connector or to the mating connector on the customer side.

   Notice!
When using a grounding bar and/or cover to prevent inadvertent connector release, the angle through which size 1
and 1,5 connectors can be rotated is restricted.

6. Additional name plate
The motors are supplied with an additional name plate, because of the special requirements for marking of electrical devices,
which are intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The data on the name plate have to be considered in detail for
   commissioning and use.

Before the motor is brought into operation, the
                                                           requisite additional (customer-side) grounding
cable must be connected to the motor. The
grounding connection must be clean and
complete. The cable lug must be bolted with
                                                           the special nut provided.

In order to achieve adequate grounding, a
metallic contact must be made between the
protective tube and the connector or mating
connector. The bolted joint must be tightened
until there is a force-fit connection.

Notice! When using a grounding bar and/or a disconnection protection tube, the angle through
which size 1 and 1,5 connectors can be rotated is restricted.

After mounting and locking the signal
                            connector, the disconnection protection
device must be placed over the signal cable.

                            Fig. 2:
                            Next, the disconnection protection device
must be slid over the locking device.

In order to bring the disconnection protection
device into the correct position, it has to be
turned through 90°, and pushed downwards. It
must be ensured that it lies against the
connector surface and is pressed down with
                            light pressure (see fig. 6).

spacer now have to be pressed into the
mounting position (see fig. 6), and the screw
tightened. The screw must be tightened until
the spacer is securely clamped. This has to be
done to ensure that the signal connector does
                                    not become loose unintentionally.

1. Allgemeines

Montagehinweise dazu siehe Anlage.

7.3 Signalstecker RJ45

                         Bild 1:
Nach der Montage und Verriegelung des
Signalsteckers muss der Löseschutz über die
                         Signalleitung gestülpt werden.

                         Bild 2:
Als nächstes ist der Löseschutz über die
                         Verriegelung zu schieben.

                         Bild 3:
Um den Löseschutz in die richtige Einbaulauge
zu bringen, muss dieser um 90° gedreht und
nach unten geschoben werden. Hierbei ist zu
beachten, dass er an der Steckerfläche anliegt
und mit leichtem Druck nach unten geschoben
                         wird (siehe Bild 6).

Wenn der Löseschutz korrekt in die
Einbaulage gebracht wurde, kann nun die
                                     mitgelieferte Schraube eingesteckt, in das
                                     Distanzstück gefädelt und angeschraubt
                                     werden.

Zur Sicherung des Signalsteckers muss nun
der Löseschutz und das Distanzstück in die
Einbaulage (siehe Bild 6) gedrückt und die
                                     Schraube angezogen werden. Die Schraube
muss soweit angezogen werden, bis das
                                     Distanzstück fest eingeklemmt ist. Erst
hierdurch ist ein unbeabsichtigtes Lösen des
                                     Signalsteckers sichergestellt.
