The drum meter is used for quantity measurement of spirits and determination of the content of alcohol in spirits for taxing purposes in distilleries, alcohol and liquor factories.

The drum meter satisfies the regulations of the German monopoly administration.

The device is comprised of a housing and the actual drum meter.

The two-part, cast iron housing is made of up of a bottom part and a lid. On the bottom part are inlet and outlet connections..

The pipe connections are oval flanges to DIN 2558, drilled.

The drum is made of welded CrNiMo steel sheet and has 1 to 3 sample scoops of approx. 4 cm³ contents each (according to German monopoly administration).

Values are indicated (in liters) by a single-pointer dial with a non-resettable 5-digit drum type counter.

There is also an assembly to indicate overloaded operation.

The instrument housing is made of aluminum sheet finished with alcohol-resistant paint and can be sealed (according to German monopoly administration).

The sample collection vessel is accommodated in the housing (cabinet). The sample collection vessel is made of CrNiMo sheet steel, has an inlet and an outlet cock at the bottom, and can be sealed.
