The panel shows 105% MOTOR CURRENT OVERLOAD. The starter documentation prints the displayed shutdown message in full as LCSSS - 105% MOTOR CURRENT OVERLOAD, so the text may appear with the LCSSS prefix. It is displayed when a safety shutdown for motor overload has occurred.

What it means

This shutdown is generated by the VSD logic board and indicates that a motor overload has occurred: at least one of the three output phase currents has exceeded 105% of the programmed 100% job full load amps (FLA) value.

The trip logic works as follows. The control center supplies a value of current that corresponds to 100% FLA. The current information from the output CTs is converted to RMS current, and the highest value of the three phase currents is compared with 105% of the 100% FLA value. When the highest current exceeds this threshold, a 40 second timer is started; if the current is maintained at this level for 40 seconds, the safety shutdown occurs and this message is displayed.
