Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drive

INVALID The MV VSD Model, shown on the MV VSD Screen in the data box labeled “MV VSD Model”, cannot be resolved. The model number derived from the Motor Rated Voltage (Modbus Address 40012) and the Programmed Drive Current (Modbus Address 40013) results in a model that is not defined in the lookup table. The chiller will not be allowed to run while this is displayed. 2
INVALID Invalid Motor Voltage Rating received from the MV VSD; “INVALID” replaces the voltage reading in the “Motor Voltage Rating” display on the MV VSD Screen. An invalid “Motor Voltage Rating” value was received from the MV VSD. The chiller will not be allowed to run while this is displayed. 2
INVALID Invalid rated output frequency received from the MV VSD; “INVALID” is shown in the “Output Frequency Rating” data box on the MV VSD Screen. The rated output frequency (Modbus Address 40033) received from the MV VSD is not 50Hz or 60Hz. In this case the “Motor Voltage Rating” determines the maximum frequency: 2300 or 4160V = 60Hz; 3300V = 50Hz. 2
VSD – Low Frequency Detected Safety fault on the variable speed drive output frequency. After a 20 second bypass after entering “System Run”, the frequency is below 1Hz less than the minimum allowed running frequency for 25 consecutive seconds. (Software enhancement: the previous requirement to reach the minimum frequency before the fault can be detected has been eliminated, and 20 and 25 second timers have been added.) The fault will shutdown the chiller. 2
