Introduction
The Johnson Controls® VSD 575V Series II Variable Figure 1: VSD Series II Open Drives
Speed Open, IntelliPass, and IntelliDisconnect drives,
powered by Eaton® technology, provide an intelligent
drive integrated with reliable bypass configuration. The
575V IntelliPass bypass is a three-contactor design
using Eaton contactors and power supplies. The
IntelliDisconnect variable speed drive combines a
premier quality drive with a fused disconnect.
The input/output (I/O) configuration is designed with
wiring ergonomics in mind by including removable
terminal blocks. Available I/O includes six digital IN,
two analog IN, one analog OUT, three relay OUT, and
two expansion slots for I/O or communications boards.
The available SA-Bus option card can be factory
installed on IntelliPass and IntelliDisconnect drives.

MODBUS RTU
VSD Series II Variable Speed Open Drives provide communication to MODBUS RTU RS-485 as a
subordinate on a MODBUS network. Other communication parameters include an address range from 1 to
247, a parity of Non, Odd, or Even with a stop bit of 1.
