Replacement Life Safety Damper Electric Actuator
Note: Use with the following UL Listed actuators only:
DMPR-S16024, DMPR-S16024S,
DMPR-S16120, DMPR-S16120S,
DMPR-S60024, DMPR-S60024S,
DMPR-S60120, DMPR-S60120S
! DANGER: To avoid causing death or

Actuator Removal
1. Remove power to the actuator.

2. Use a 7/16 inch open-end wrench to loosen the
swivel ball joint from the linkage rod at the actuator
crank arm.

3. Rotate the damper blades to remove the linkage Actuator Installation
rod from the actuator crank arm swivel ball joint.
1. Install the actuator crank arm to the new actuator
in the same position as it was on the previous
actuator (see Figure 5). Use a 1/2 inch open-end
wrench or nut driver to tighten the bolt and nut.
2. Place the actuator on the mounting bracket and
use the three nuts and bolts to secure. Use two
7/16 inch open-end wrenches or one wrench and
one nut driver to tighten the mounting nuts and
bolts.

9. If the damper blades do not fully open and close,
adjust the linkage until full open and closed
conditions are met.

9. Note the position of the actuator crank arm. Use a
1/2 inch open-end wrench or nut driver and loosen
the bolt securing the actuator crank arm to the
actuator.
