The F62 is a paddle-operated air flow switch that detects the presence or absence of air flow by responding only to the velocity of air movement in a duct. According to EN 60730 it is a type 1 action, independently mounted control suitable for flat surface mounting on an air duct and use in normal pollution situations.

- Operating control use only; where a control failure could cause personal injury or property loss, the installer must add protective or warning devices/systems

- Factory set at minimal flow setting; do not adjust below factory setting or switch may fail to return to the "no flow" position
- Preferred mounting on top of duct; if mounted at bottom side, migration of water and/or dust into the enclosure must be avoided
- Avoid places where turbulent air occurs (5 x d)
- For vertical ducts with downward airflow, readjust by turning the range screw clockwise until contacts 1-2 close with no air flow, then one additional turn clockwise
- Do not use with hazardous gases or in hazardous atmospheres
