Summary of Changes
The following information is new or revised at this release:
• A streamlined one-click installer that provides a faster and more convenient method for tool installation. See the
CCT Software One-Click Installation section.
• You need to uninstall prior versions of CCT in order to use the Metasys Controller Configuration Tool to install
CCT 10.3. See the Uninstalling CCT Release 10.2 or Earlier Software section.
• Support for Standard and Express versions of Microsoft SQL Server® 2016 with SP1 and Windows Server®
2016. See the Supported Operating Systems section.
Document Introduction
Use this document to install or upgrade Controller Configuration Tool (CCT) software using the CCT product media.
You can order CCT media by using the new part number (MS-CCT-0) to update any of a site's computers.
Note: For users with CCT software at Release 10.2 or earlier, you must first uninstall the previous version and
install 10.3.
If you want to work with controller application files (CAFs) created with an earlier release of CCT, CCT Release 10.3
provides an option to switch release modes within the UI. You can work within and change modes of any Release
10.x version. Refer to the User Interface section within the Controller Tool Help (LIT-12011147) for procedures. For
releases prior to 10.0, see the procedures in Troubleshooting to perform a clean installation.

The Controller Tool Help (LIT-12011147) is the user’s guide to the CCT. Use the Tool to configure, simulate, and
commission a controller, such as a Field Equipment Controller (FEC), an Advanced Application Field Equipment
Controller (FAC), an NCE, an Input/Output Module (IOM), or a VAV Modular Assembly (VMA) 16 on a
Master-Slave/Token-Passing (MS/TP) bus.
For N2 compatible controllers, the Help provides guidance on communication switching, N2 point mapping, and N2
modules.
