Electric spring return actuators for flanged globe valves, available for 3-point control or with a built-in electronic positioner accepting 0…10 V or 0…20 mA. On power failure the spring drives the stem to the failsafe position (extended or retracted depending on model), and an electrically operated manual override allows manual valve positioning.

Spring Return Valve Actuator
I ntroduction
The FA-2000 series electric actuators are
available for 3-point control or with electronic
positioner for 0…10 V or 0…20 mA control. It
provides a fully variable valve aperture, a power
failure spring return safety mechanism and an
electrically operated manual override.
Three models of the FA-2000 are available.
The FA-22 (“failsafe” position down = stem fully
extended) and FA-25 (“failsafe” position up = stem
fully retracted): this model pair has a 25 mm stroke
and a minimum of 2400 N thrust.
The FA-23 (“failsafe” position down) and FA-26
(“failsafe” position up): this model pair has a 42
mm stroke of and a minimum thrust of 2200 N.
The FA-24 (“failsafe” position down) and FA-27
(“failsafe” position up): this model pair has a stroke
of 13 mm and 2000 N minimum thrust.
The actuator can be combined with VG8000, VBB,
FA-23 (left), FA-26 (right) and
and VBD series flanged valves in accordance with
FA-25 mounted on VG8000 flanged valve

The FA-2000, when delivered as a single unit, is
pre-set to facilitate installation with minimum
adjustment; it is also available with a variety of
options such as auxiliary switches and feedback
potentiometers.

CAUTION positioner using limit switches.
Parallel connection is only possible using isolation
relays. If the parallel running motors do not have
separately switched power supplies one or more
motors will start to cycle at the end of travel.
Controller
The controller output 0…10 V can operate several
actuators with electronic positioner for 0…10 V or
U∼
0…20 mA control. The electrical wiring for parallel
and sequenced operation is identical. The
sequencing and action of the actuator can be 1 16 2 3 17 1 16 2 3 17
adjusted individually on each positioner. Each
positioner has its own adjustment for starting point
between 0…8 V and end point between 2…10 V.
Using the minimum adjustable span of 20 %
therefore enables a maximum of 5 sequenced M M
devices. Further sequencing can be accomplished
by using additional controller outputs. Each
positioner can be set for direct or reverse action.
Parallel operation of actuators without
